Which team will join R. Madrid in Kyiv? Roma or Liverpool?

The UCL second league took place at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid today,  Bayern were given a chance to overturn a 2-1 deficit against the home side.

The match started with very strong contentions, J. Kimmich scoring in the third minute with an assist from C. Tolisso to give Bayern an early lead. The game seemed Bayern was about doing a deja vu of Juventus' last visit to the Santiago. The lead was not to stay for long as Karim Benzema equalized in the 11th minute. The game was stalemate within 15 minutes of play.

Bayern gave the home team a run for their money. It was an end to end football as Bayern had much of the possession. The Bayern team felt they were robbed on two occasions as penalty pleas were not given. After a hot encounter, Madrid also caused all sorts of problem whenever they were on the break. The match ended one-all in the first half and 3-2 on aggregate.

The second half resumed on a fast lane as the first, Karim Benzema drew blood again at the beginning of the second half by a defensive error from Sven Ulreich to get the brace of the night. The game looked all sour already for Bayern, and the game was well poised for Madrid. The team from Germany resumed their onslaught and got an equalizer in 63rd minute through the former Madrid man, James Rodriguez.

The final minutes was filled with tension as a single goal from either ends would seal the coffin for good. Real Madrid held on firmly and guided their away win advantage to book a place in their third consecutive final at Kyiv. Madrid won by 4-3 on aggregate and a final score line of 2-2 draw.

It was an action packed match with 81000 spectators in the stand.
