CAN holds Nationwide protest against security issues

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) today implored all Christians to stage a Nationwide protests against impunity and the blood shed of countless Nigerians across the country.

CAN expressed her dissatisfaction towards the outright negligence and unresponsive approach of the Nigerian government to the plight of the masses.

The Fulani herdsmen rampage and pillaging of local areas of the country. Many are killed, countless are maimed and unaccountable numbers of people are displaced without proper care and justice. Good arable farmlands are destroyed and their owners left in penury.

The anti-grazing law made to curb this pastoralists have been ineffective, hence causing more havoc to the affected areas.

Also, the Chibok girls case with the newly abducted Dapchi girls highlights the reason for the peaceful protests.

The level of injustices, killing with impunity, cases of internally displaced individuals in the country is soaring by the day.

Nigerians must stand against silent tyranny and lack of immediate responses from security officials.
