The 2nd Indepence of Nigeria?

Nigeria came to be as a result of constant agitation from the South Western front. Many who are uninformed might debate this but with all clarity of facts and figures, it was a one-sided flip of the liberation script. The first independence was without a unanimous agreement on vision, purpose and development. We are still reaping from the disorganized front of ethnic consensus. It's only evident that the baby Nigeria got his first coup in 1963, barely 3 years before it had strength to even crawl. Down the lane, it's been a ramshackle upturn of events and we are still quite invested in its travails.

The biggest players in the game, men who continually pushed our noses into the anoxic water zones causing nothing short of asphyxiation are still around enjoying the spoil of their pillages. It's not farfetched, that the witch's confession today is the percussor to the child's untimely death yesterday. We are still in chains, black chains of myopia and gross inept.

The 1st independence was false, ersatz and super surreal. Only the late Obafemi Awolowo saw a future no one else envisioned. He was a man of the future, who saw the two sides of the coin conveniently. No to divert the real attention of this treatise into human gratification. We were never free, not at least from the ethereal skinned colonials. It only seemed we were but deep down to our marrows, we were still slaves to our own country men.

Nigeria is due for the second independence, whether we choose or not. A country managed by corhots of evil men whose god is their belly is doomed for nothing but pains and sorrow. The antecedent is filled with wrong decisions, wrong ideals and wrong individuals. Fifty eight years of our desert experience is enough to enlighten our path, else we may continue on this ramapage till God knows when. If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do? In a country where the righteous ones never emerge to undertake any reasonable assignment, then the foundation need an overhauling and rebuilding. The questions of good governance, infrastructural development, revised educational plans, mechanized agricultural schemes are left unanswered. The citizenry are taught to be patient, prayerful and wallow in perpetual poverty. If we continued to pray forever without taking necessary actions, it would be like fetching aqua with baskets. We need to wake up Nigerians, no second Messiah is coming to save us.

It's high time we berated unfruitful *coalition plots from these same men who had the opportunity of changing the narrative of the country but prevented a great chance for progress by their shambolic, odoriferous political mandate. They are the so believed men of the jungle who understood the ways of the old. We need to kick them in the butt and throw them into the bucket of the past. Grey hair is no sign of wisdom, even a mad man can have grey hairs. These sinisters are here corrupting the little sanity left on our streets and before their ill-lucked gospel become viral and epidemic. We need to arise with one cry and demand the 2nd inevitable independence.

Let the old men go to their wives, the other room is opened for them. Let them die, if that would solve our national problems. The time is so overdue to fight for what is ours truly. Nigeria belongs to the teeming youth population. We hold the wherewithal to change the status quo, only if we see it in that light. We have been silent enough, what would our children meet. This same Nigeria?

Get your PVC, have a voice in the next election. Don't caress the idea that your votes may not count. If be it that we forcefully get our lives back, then we shall. The 2nd Independence is here!!!
